Revitalisation Of A Nostalgic City
It was important that the design had a strong focus on local inspiration, reflecting the culture, history, and lifestyle of the destination to satisfy the Mercure brand concept.
The design for the hotel rooms reflect a fresh forward looking city of Sheffield known as “ the Steel City” that has progressed from the nostalgic and retrospective use of steel and concrete. Cellular patterns and natural forms have been encapsulated through the use of textiles and colour within the interior design scheme.
